Eve Richards is someone who wears many hats—actress, model, influencer, and podcast host—but at the heart of it all, she’s a storyteller. In a candid conversation, Eve opens up about the personal challenges that shaped her, her passion for creativity, and what’s next for her in 2025.
What inspired you to pursue a career in acting, modeling, and influencing?
Losing my parents at critical moments in my life completely changed my perspective. It made me realize just how short and unpredictable life is. I decided I wanted to channel that grief into something meaningful—something that could inspire others and encourage them to chase their dreams without hesitation.
Acting allows me to step into different stories, to connect with people on a deep emotional level. Modeling and influencing give me a platform to empower others—whether through self-expression, fashion, or even just sharing personal growth. Everything I do is in honor of my parents and their legacy.
You’ve mentioned that 2023 was a pivotal year for you. Can you talk about that?
Absolutely. Losing my father unexpectedly in 2023 was devastating. It forced me to take a step back and ask myself, “What kind of legacy do I want to leave behind?” My mother, who was a trailblazing judge, had already passed, and now, with both of them gone, I felt this immense responsibility to honor their memories.
That pain became my motivation. I leaned into acting and storytelling as a way to heal and launched my podcast to inspire others. I started using my platform to talk about resilience and hope. It taught me that even in our darkest moments, we can rise, transform, and find purpose.
The entertainment industry is no walk in the park. What challenges have you faced?
Oh, so many. Rejection is constant in this business. Early on, it was tough not to take it personally. I would question if I was good enough or if I even belonged here. There were also times when work was scarce, and I’d find myself doubting everything.
The pressure to maintain a certain image as an actress, model, and influencer can be overwhelming, too. But over time, I’ve learned that rejection isn’t personal—it’s just part of the process. Every “no” gets me closer to the right opportunity. I’ve also learned to focus on the joy of creating rather than the results.
As the host of The Discovery Pod with Eve, is there a guest or story that’s stayed with you?
Definitely. Jeremy Miller, the actor, shared his story about battling alcoholism, which started when he was just 4 years old. It was heartbreaking, but also incredibly inspiring. He’s used his journey to raise awareness about addiction and mental health, and his vulnerability was so moving.
That conversation reminded me of the strength it takes to face your struggles and the power of using your story to help others.
2025 sounds like an exciting year for you. What’s coming up?
It’s going to be a big year! I’m reprising my role as Victoria Curry on Surviving the Cartel, which is such a fulfilling project. I’m also filming my own movie—it’s deeply personal and reflects parts of my journey.
In March, I’ll be a keynote speaker at a conference in France, which is an incredible honor. And then there are four feature films in the works for 2025, each one bringing its own challenges and opportunities to grow as an actress.
On a more personal note, my book will be released in 2025. It’s a tribute to my mom and the lessons I’ve learned since her passing. Writing it has been emotional but so rewarding.
How do you stay motivated, especially during tough times?
I take a balanced approach. Exercise is a must for me—it’s my way of managing stress and staying energized. I meditate, pray, and take time to reflect every day. Staying connected to my faith and family also keeps me grounded.
I’ve found that yoga and acupuncture help me stay centered, too. It’s about taking care of myself physically, mentally, and spiritually. Those practices remind me that setbacks are part of the journey and that resilience comes from those moments.
What legacy do you hope to leave through your work?
I want to leave a legacy of resilience, hope, and empowerment. Through my acting, podcast, and future book, I want to amplify voices that feel silenced and inspire others to chase their passions.
My mom was a pioneer in her field, and I hope to honor her memory by continuing to fight for justice and equality. Ultimately, I want people to remember me as someone who used her platform to create positive change and help others find their strength.
