I’m Jessica Salcido, and my story is one of following dreams, embracing creativity, and never giving up, even when the path isn’t clear. Born and raised in West Covina, California, with deep roots in Jalisco, Mexico, I’ve always been proud of my heritage and the strength it gives me. Today, I’m excited to be working as an assistant producer on my latest project, the feature horror film “Demon Fever.” But my journey to this point has been anything but typical.

From Runway to Film: A Journey in Fashion

From the start, I was drawn to fashion. I’ve been fortunate to walk the runway for numerous shows, working with agencies like TME and The Face Models. I’ve served as a spokesmodel at fashion events, attended LA Fashion Week at Skybar, and did print modeling for various clothing brands. Each experience has been a stepping stone, teaching me something new and bringing me closer to my true passion.

Discovering a Love for Filmmaking

But the journey didn’t stop at modeling. I found myself gravitating towards the behind-the-scenes world of film. I’ve had the pleasure of working with incredible directors like Andrei Mafiotto Sporea at Mafiotto Films and Romaine Simon on upcoming projects like “Wedding Vengeance.” My work as a PA with Lucky Strike Productions, and my future role as an assistant director’s PA on “The President Men,” reflect my growing involvement in the film industry. I love every moment of it.

A Change of Plans: From Veterinary Aspirations to Cake Artistry

Originally, I thought I’d take a different path. I studied at Mt. San Antonio College with the goal of becoming a veterinarian—animals have always been a passion of mine. But life has a funny way of showing you where you truly belong. I pivoted to becoming a cake artist for weddings and celebrities, which allowed me to express myself creatively in new ways. This led to discovering my love for directing and photography, and I’ve been hooked ever since.

Creating with Purpose

My goal is simple: I want to create things that expand people’s minds and leave a lasting impact. I believe that to live a fulfilling life, you need to do something that matters—not just for yourself, but for others. My work on “Demon Fever” is a chance to do just that, and I couldn’t be more excited to be part of it.

Living with Positivity and Resilience

I’ve learned that if you want something, you have to go after it, even when it’s scary. It’s not just about making a living; it’s about making a difference. I believe that life is short, and everyone has something they’re passionate about. So why not go for it? You have to believe in yourself first and keep pushing forward, no matter what. The people who are meant to be in your life will rise to meet you, and your positive mindset will shape your path.

Making a Difference: A Personal Mission

Through tough times, I’ve become a tough person. I’ve lived through challenges, but I’ve also learned that we can all do small things with great love. I’m determined to make my mark and create something that will live forever. In the end, it’s not just about the career or the titles—it’s about making a difference and living life with purpose.
