On Stage: “I Know I’ve Been Changed”

Q: How did you get involved with the stage play “I Know I’ve Been Changed” by Lenora McClellan, and what role do you play?

A: “I’ve always admired Lenora’s work from her books and stage productions. In the play, I’m stepping into the role of a gang member. We’re gearing up for the finale, and I’m really excited about it.”

Jay brings a raw and authentic presence to the stage, embodying a complex character in this emotional drama.

From Stage to Screen: “Let’s Make a Deal”

Q: What was your experience like on “Let’s Make a Deal” at CBS Studios Hollywood, and how did it differ from your stage work?

A: “It was my first time on a network set, and working with Wayne Brady was awesome. The vibe behind the scenes was very different from stage work—more fast-paced and structured. Funny enough, I bumped into some of the camera guys from the show later on a Bose commercial set!”

The transition from stage to television offered Jay a fresh perspective on the entertainment industry.

Moderating the 3rd Annual Outside of Hollywood Entertainment Forum

Q: As a moderator at the forum, what were some of the key discussions, and how did you prepare?

A: “The forum was all about the business side of entertainment—financing movies, getting projects off the ground. Even though I was moderating, I learned a lot. It’s exciting to see how everything comes together behind the scenes.”

This role allowed Jay to delve into the intricacies of the industry, gaining valuable insights.

Music Video Feature: Any Gabrielly’s Latest Release

Q: Can you share your experience working in Any Gabrielly’s music video?

A: “It was surreal. Any is super talented and her fan base is really loyal. She’s so down-to-earth despite all her success. Being part of her music video was a blast.”

Working with artists like Any Gabrielly has been a highlight, blending music and visual storytelling in a dynamic way.

Upcoming Series: “Rimpau Station”

Q: Can you tell us about your role in the series “Rimpau Station”?

A: “The series is still in preproduction, but the character development by Valiant Robinson is fantastic. The table reads have been great, and I’m looking forward to bringing my character to life.”

This series is set to showcase Jay’s range as an actor, adding another exciting project to his portfolio.

Journey into Acting and Advice for Aspiring Artists

Q: What inspired you to pursue acting and spoken word artistry, and what advice would you give to aspiring artists?

A: “People always suggested I try acting, but it wasn’t until the COVID lockdown that I started sharing content. I found my rhythm by trial and error. My advice? Don’t give up. Learn the industry, find your niche, and stick to it.”

Jay’s journey is a testament to resilience and passion, offering valuable insights for those looking to break into the entertainment world.

From the stage to the screen, Jay Anthony continues to captivate audiences with a blend of talent and tenacity. His story is a source of inspiration for many aspiring artists, showing that with hard work and dedication, success is within reach.
