In entertainment, some people make noise, others make moves. Travis “Sky” Looney, often called the “silent whisper,” has built a career that spans music, film, television, and artist development. His strength lies not in being the loudest in the room, but in creating opportunities that speak for themselves.
From Deezire to National Spotlight
Travis story began with the R&B group Deezire, a project that took nearly seven years to fully shape. After refining the lineup, the group entered USA Network’s World Showcase at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Their talent and persistence paid off when they won #1 Best Group, placing Looney and his vision squarely in the national spotlight.

Artist Development and Industry Collaborations
Following that breakthrough, Capitol Records tapped Travis to develop talent for Jay-El of Jagged Edge. Building on that success, he founded Sky’s The Limit Entertainment, LLC, which became a platform for elevating artists across music and sports.
Over the years, Travis has worked with a range of names including Qwanell Mosley (Day26, Making The Band), singer Nikki Gilbert, WNBA star Angel McCoughtry, and Olivia. His reach extended into television, helping place talent on R&B Divas Atlanta, Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, Apollo Live, and even feature films like Let’s Be Cops and Crazy Sexy Cool: The TLC Story.

A Return to Film: For the Love of Music
After years of guiding artists, Travis has returned to the film industry with a project deeply personal to him: For the Love of Music: The Deezire Story.
The biopic series revisits the struggles, triumphs, and drama behind the group that started it all for Looney. With comparisons to The Temptations, New Edition, and TLC, and the energy of Empire, the series promises to deliver both nostalgia and raw storytelling. Co-directed with award-winning filmmaker Brandon Holland, the project showcases Looney’s evolution as a creator.
A Musician at Heart
Before becoming an executive, Travis was a musician himself. He played trumpet for the University of Alabama’s Million Dollar Band, and his talent earned him the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award and the John Philip Sousa Award. That background continues to influence his approach to artist development—he understands both the grind and the glory of chasing a dream.

Sky’s the Limit
With a motto of “Soaring to New Heights,” Travis “Sky” Looney remains committed to building platforms for artists and stories that matter. Whether through Sky’s The Limit Entertainment or his upcoming projects in film and television, Looney continues to prove that his reach in entertainment has no ceiling.
