Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Daylon Burks never grew up with a clear vision of where life would take him. In high school, he spent most of his time surrounded by two close friends who shared a fascination with content creation. Together, they dove into YouTube, filming skits, chasing laughs, and imagining themselves as the next big creators ready to spark something new.

Those early creative experiments planted the first seed. Even though the path wasn’t clear yet, the passion for storytelling was already there.

The Pause That Sparked Purpose

Everything shifted when the pandemic hit. The world slowed down, and so did their projects. With lockdowns keeping everyone apart, the group’s creative momentum faded. But for Daylon, that downtime created space for reflection.

Scrolling online one day, he came across a local casting call for extras. Out of curiosity, he applied—and that single step changed the course of his life. Once he stepped onto a set for the first time, he felt a connection to the energy of production, the rhythm of filmmaking, and the idea of transforming into different characters.

From Curiosity to Career

What started as a one-time experience quickly grew into a series of opportunities. Over time, Daylon continued to get booked for background work and soon started landing speaking roles in commercials and television shows. The more he worked, the more natural it felt. Acting became less of an experiment and more of a calling.

Each new project taught him something about the craft, about discipline, and about the industry’s demands. The process pushed him to evolve—turning a simple chance into a real career.

Stepping Into the Fashion World

As his acting work gained traction, modeling entered the picture. His on-camera presence and confidence caught the attention of agencies, leading to opportunities in fashion. The audition for New York Fashion Week became a milestone moment—proof of how far he had come from those early YouTube days.

The transition from acting to modeling felt natural, driven by the same energy that first got him behind a camera: creativity and expression.

Building Momentum in Television

Daylon’s dedication soon led to even bigger projects. Traveling to Atlanta to work on new productions marked another turning point, including his role in the upcoming Season 3 of P-Valley.

But the work he’s most proud of remains behind the scenes on Mayor of Kingstown (Seasons 2–4). Being part of a major television production gave him valuable insight into how things run on the other side of the camera, expanding his understanding of the industry he’s now fully immersed in.

Living the Dream

Today, Daylon Burks stands as a full-time actor and model, represented by multiple agencies and collaborating with established brands. His path wasn’t planned or predictable—it was built through persistence, timing, and faith.

From creating small YouTube skits with friends in high school to walking runways and appearing on set for major productions, Daylon’s journey is a testament to growth, resilience, and divine alignment.

He represents what happens when preparation meets opportunity, and how a single decision can unlock an entirely new future. The road from Pittsburgh to Hollywood isn’t easy—but for Daylon Burks, it’s only just beginning.
