For Brooklyn native Lovey Jordan, music wasn’t a hobby growing up — it was a lifeline. With an abusive childhood shaping much of their early years, Lovey found comfort in simple tools: a pen, a notebook, and a Nickelodeon boombox that stayed close by. Whitney Houston’s Bodyguard soundtrack and Lil’ Kim’s Hardcore album became the escape routes that helped them breathe.
That’s where Lovey first realized something important: they were meant to create.
Closing One Chapter, Stepping Fully Into Another
Now, just months away from turning 40, Lovey is preparing to transition out of the Army and fully into their identity as an artist. It’s a major shift — going from combat boots to the stage — but one they’ve already started leaning into. After leaving the military, Lovey landed two principal roles in a Shakespeare musical with NYC’s Public Theater, a moment that confirmed they were exactly where they were supposed to be.

Introducing the “Lovers Club”
Lovey is slowly building a community of listeners known as the lovers club, a name that fits perfectly with the emotional honesty of their performances. After two intimate solo shows in Brooklyn where Lovey shared original music for the first time, fans got a real glimpse into who Lovey is — vulnerable, raw, and unfiltered.
With a move to San Francisco ahead, “Night 3 with Lovey” is already on the horizon.
An Album Rooted in Real Life
Right now, Lovey is deep in the process of finishing their debut album, “Welcome to Lovey’s Room.” The project includes 15 songs written alongside their musical partner and therapist, Alan Thompson. It’s an album shaped by real human experiences — love, heartbreak, joy, sadness, fear, growth, and the ongoing battle with depression.
It’s not a glossy, manufactured project. It’s lived-in. It’s honest. It’s Lovey.
A New Start in San Francisco
In January 2026, Lovey will pack the car and head to San Francisco with one goal: to put the album to life, literally. They plan to find musicians and record the entire project live in the studio, giving listeners something rare in today’s digital world — the sound of real people playing real instruments, together in the same room.

A Calling Bigger Than a Career
For Lovey, this isn’t just about music. It’s about purpose. “I’ve been sent by God to use my talents to heal hearts,” they say — and you can feel the truth in that statement.
“Welcome to Lovey’s Room” isn’t just a debut album title. It’s an invitation into Lovey’s world: the pain, the growth, the healing, and the love they hope to pass on to others.

The Start of Something Beautiful
As Lovey steps into this next phase — new city, new music, new community — one thing is clear: this is just the beginning. With a story built on resilience and a voice shaped by lived experience, Lovey is ready to make their mark on the San Francisco indie scene and beyond.
And this time, it’s all on their own terms.
