In the heart of Vancouver’s creative scene, one designer is making waves with a unique blend of artistry and functionality. Zachariah Reidpath, the self-taught visionary behind Bonacci, has built a brand that merges luxury with authenticity. From mastering silk-screening and embroidery to gaining global recognition, his journey is a story of passion, perseverance, and innovation.
How did your journey into fashion begin?
A: It all started with a simple desire to create. I taught myself silk-screening and embroidery, experimenting until I refined my skills. At first, my work was pretty rough, but over time, I honed my craft and turned those early ideas into polished designs. It was all about persistence and constantly pushing myself to improve.

What inspired you to start Bonacci?
A: Bonacci is really an extension of my own journey. I wanted to create a brand that felt personal—something that people could connect with beyond just wearing clothes. For me, fashion is storytelling. Every piece carries a meaning, a moment, or an experience that I want to share.
How does living in Vancouver influence your designs?
A: Vancouver is such an interesting mix of natural beauty and urban culture. There’s something about the contrast between the mountains and the city that really inspires me. I also collaborate with local artists, which brings in fresh perspectives and keeps the brand evolving in an authentic way.
Your brand has been featured in major publications. What has that experience been like?
A: It’s been surreal. Seeing Bonacci in Harper’s Bazaar, Maxim Fashion, Cosmopolitan UAE, and Forbes Founder was a huge milestone. And then showcasing at FMC Fashion in London—it was a big moment for me. It’s humbling to see how people around the world are connecting with what we’re doing.

How do you keep Bonacci fresh and innovative?
A: I think staying curious is key. Fashion is always changing, so I make sure we’re experimenting with new materials and techniques. Sustainability is also a big focus for us—finding ways to create responsibly without sacrificing quality or design.
What do you hope people take away from Bonacci?
A: More than anything, I want people to feel a connection. Every piece tells a story, and I want it to resonate with whoever wears it. Fashion isn’t just about looking good; it’s about feeling something real.
What’s next for Bonacci?
A: We’ve got some exciting collaborations in the works and new collections coming soon. The goal is to keep evolving while staying true to our identity. There’s so much more to explore, and I can’t wait to share what’s next.
Where can people check out your latest collections?
A: They can visit Bonacci.ca to see what we’re working on and stay updated on our latest releases.
