Early Challenges

Miriam Virgo is rapidly becoming synonymous with strength, resilience, and passion. This remarkable woman has faced more than her fair share of hardships and challenges in her life, but rather than allowing them to defeat her, she has used them as fuel to ignite the flames of her mission to help others. Born into a modest family in Reading Berkshire United Kingdom, Miriam’s childhood was marred by abuse and trauma. At 19 years old, she was raped; an event that left indelible physical and emotional scars on her. However, instead of succumbing to despair or hopelessness, Miriam made a pivotal decision that would alter the course of her life forever – she resolved to pursue a career in law enforcement

Despite the stigma and shame often associated with victims of sexual assault, Miriam refused to be silenced. She joined the police force and passed both sergeant and detective exams effortlessly. But while upholding the law was important work for Miriam; it wasn’t enough for this tenacious young woman whose true calling lay in helping those who had been victims of its abuses. Through several initiatives including The Black And Blue Project which breaks down stigmatised relationships between police officers and black communities she passionately fought to build bridges whilst reducing inter-community crime.

A Mission to Help

In 2018 Miriam registered Community Outreach Project Solutions as a charitable organisation dedicated solely towards providing support &assistance for those in need within UK borders. One outreach program spearheaded by Miriam is called ‘Firefighters.’ The organisation’s motto “Save people by pulling them out from fire”based on biblical verse Jude 22 reflects upon Ms Virgo’s unwavering commitment towards aiding society’s most vulnerable individuals.
